THE MINISTRY OF ARROWS: ARROW MAKERS, DISCIPLE MAKERS

Most of the time, the posts on this site are about my messages, articles, or thoughts. But I want to share about Pastor Lia’s revelation – the Ministry of ArrowS.

Psalm 127:3-5
Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord,
The fruit of the womb is a reward.
Like arrows in the hand of a warrior,
So are the children of one’s youth.
Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them;
They shall not be ashamed,
But shall speak with their enemies in the gate.

Arrows are both our natural and spiritual children.
Our focus is relentlessly on GenerationS – ArrowS – to be shot out to accomplish God’s purpose.

When Pastor Lia and I look at HOGC, we see it as a spiritual quiver. And like the verse says, happy is the man with a quiver full of arrows. No wonder we are happy pastors. 😄

In the GenerationS Pastors Conference this year, Pastor Lia released the Word: The Ministry of ArrowS. This has been on her heart for at least the past six years.

Isaiah 49:2
And He has made My mouth like a sharp sword
In the shadow of His hand He has hidden Me
And made Me a polished shaft
In His quiver He has hidden Me

Pastor Lia shared – “The Ministry of the Sword is the preaching of the Word. The Ministry of ArrowS is the discipling of GenerationS. We need BOTH.”
BOTH preaching and discipleship. Boom. 💥

We are called to be Arrow Makers, Disciple Makers.
This is how we raise StronG Disciples for a StronG church.

Beyond our spiritual children, the Bible is also referring to our natural children. Pastors, your children are your ArrowS.

Being a pastor’s kid is not a burden – it is a Blessing, Birthright, Bloodline. Our daughter has a heart and burden to minister to other pastors’ kids. That is why in every conference since 2022, we pray for them on stage.

In our conference this year, we had 73 children of pastors and leaders. What a joy to pray for them. God has no grandchildren.
